Product description

Lion is a straightforward botanical oil blend: rosemary, argan, castor and jojoba, with nothing prescription-only in it. It's the product we point people at when they're not sure where to start, when they're under 18 or over 65 and outside the prescription range, or when they simply want to look after their scalp.

It's versatile by design. Used as a pre-wash treatment it conditions the scalp and softens the lengths before shampoo strips them; used sparingly on dry ends it's a finishing oil. Either way, a little goes a long way — most people use far too much the first time.

What's in it

  • Rosemary oil. A long-standing traditional scalp ingredient, used for its conditioning properties.
  • Argan oil. Rich in vitamin E — softens the lengths without a heavy feel.
  • Castor oil. A thick, classic conditioning oil that coats and protects the hair shaft.
  • Jojoba oil. Structurally close to the scalp's own sebum, so it absorbs rather than sitting on top.

    Massage into the scalp in sections, then draw whatever's left through the lengths.

    Twenty minutes as a pre-wash treatment, or overnight on a towel if you want to go further.

    Wash out

    Shampoo as normal — you may need two rounds. Or skip the wash and use a couple of drops on dry ends as a finish.

No, and we won't claim it does. Lion is a conditioning oil blend for the scalp and lengths. If you're losing hair, the free consultation is where prescription treatment starts.
Is it suitable under 18 or over 65?
Yes. There's no age restriction, which is why the consultation points people outside the prescription age range toward Lion.
Can I use it alongside Gorilla or The GOAT?
Yes, but not at the same moment — apply your prescription treatment to clean, dry skin and let it dry fully before any oil. Ask the pharmacy team if you're unsure.
Will it make my hair greasy?
Only if you use too much. Start with three or four drops; you can always add more. As a pre-wash treatment it all comes out in the shampoo anyway.
Is it safe for colour-treated hair?
Yes. It's a conditioning oil, not a stripping or clarifying product.
