What it actually is.
Gorilla is a prescription scalp treatment, not a conditioner. It contains minoxidil, which is applied to the scalp to encourage follicles back into their growth phase, and dutasteride, which acts on the hormone pathway behind male pattern hair loss. Together they target both the symptom and the cause.
It's for men aged 18 to 65 with gradual, pattern-type thinning — a receding hairline, a thinning crown, or both. It isn't the right product for sudden or patchy loss, which needs a different kind of look. Women with scalp thinning can take the same consultation; a prescriber will advise, and Lion Natural Oils is suitable at any age.

Minoxidil 7%
Topical vasodilator
Applied to the scalp to prolong the growth phase of the follicle and thicken the hairs it produces.
Dutasteride 0.1%
5-alpha-reductase inhibitor
Reduces conversion of testosterone to DHT, the hormone that progressively miniaturises follicles in male pattern hair loss.

Dry scalp, twice a day
Apply the measured dose to the thinning areas of a clean, dry scalp, morning and evening, and spread it with a fingertip.

Hands washed, hair left alone
Wash your hands straight after. Let it dry fully before styling, lying down or putting a hat on.

Keep going
Most people see nothing for two to four months, then gradual change. Stopping returns the scalp to where it would have been without treatment.

- Itching, dryness, flaking or redness where it's applied
- Temporary increase in shedding in the first weeks as follicles reset
- Unwanted hair growth where the product runs onto the face or neck
- Headache
- Dutasteride can cause reduced sex drive, erection or ejaculation problems and breast tenderness; these are reported less often with topical use but cannot be ruled out
- If you are under 18 or over 65
- If you are a woman, pregnant, or breastfeeding
- If your scalp is inflamed, infected, sunburnt or has broken skin
- If your hair loss came on suddenly, is patchy, or has no family history of pattern loss
- If you have heart disease, low blood pressure or uncontrolled high blood pressure, unless your prescriber has agreed
- If you are allergic to minoxidil, dutasteride or finasteride
- Keep the product away from women who are pregnant or could become pregnant — dutasteride is absorbed through the skin and can harm a male baby. Don't let them handle the bottle or touch treated skin before it's dry.
- Keep out of the eyes; rinse with cool water if it gets in.
- Tell your doctor you use dutasteride if you have a PSA blood test — it lowers the result.
- Don't use other scalp medicines at the same time unless your prescriber has agreed.
- Stop and contact us if you get chest pain, a fast heartbeat, faintness, or swelling of the hands or feet.
