What is Foundayo?

Foundayo is orforglipron, a GLP-1 receptor agonist made as a small-molecule tablet rather than an injected peptide. It's a prescription medicine for adults with obesity, or with overweight and a weight-related health problem, used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and more physical activity to lose weight and keep it off.

What sets it apart from other GLP-1 tablets is the routine: one tablet a day, whenever suits you, with or without food and with no restrictions on water. Like the injectable GLP-1s, it starts at a low dose and steps up gradually so your body has time to adjust.

Benefits that go further than weight.

Orforglipron is a GLP-1 tablet with no food or water rules — and in trials its benefits reached past the scale, to the heart-health markers your clinician watches.

Take it any time of day

Orforglipron survives digestion on its own, so it doesn't need an empty stomach to work.

1Helps reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events, such as heart attack and stroke.

2As part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

How Foundayo works.

Orforglipron switches on the same GLP-1 receptor as semaglutide — but it's a small molecule, not a peptide, so it survives digestion without special handling.

Because the tablet doesn't need an empty stomach to be absorbed, there's no morning ritual to plan around — one tablet, any time of day, with or without food or drink.

What to expect

Honest about side effects.

Nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea are most likely when you start or step up a dose, and generally ease with time. Smaller meals, blander food, less fat and plenty of fluids all help — and each dose is held for at least 30 days before moving up.

Common & usually mild

  • Nausea
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhoea
  • Vomiting
  • Indigestion
  • Stomach pain
  • Headache

Rare & serious

Stomach problems can sometimes be severe, and fluid loss from vomiting or diarrhoea can lead to dehydration and kidney problems. Foundayo must not be taken by anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2, and should not be combined with another GLP-1 medicine.

questions.

The questions we hear most about Foundayo. Anything else, write to info@pprx.co.uk.

When will Foundayo be available from PPRX?
We don't have a date yet. Foundayo was approved by the MHRA in August 2026 and we're preparing to supply it. Join the waitlist and we'll email you as soon as it's available to order.
What is Foundayo?
Foundayo is the brand name for orforglipron, a once-daily GLP-1 tablet made by Eli Lilly. It's a prescription medicine for weight management in adults with obesity, or with overweight and a weight-related health problem, alongside diet and physical activity.
Do I have to take it on an empty stomach?
No. Foundayo can be taken at any time of day, with or without food, and with no restrictions on water. Swallow the tablet whole — don't break, crush or chew it — and take no more than one tablet a day.
How much weight do people lose on Foundayo?
In a 72-week study of adults without diabetes, average weight loss was 11.1% at the highest dose (17.2 mg), compared with 2.1% for placebo. Lower doses averaged 7.4% (5.5 mg) and 8.3% (9 mg). Individual results vary.
How is Foundayo different from the Wegovy Pill?
Both are once-daily GLP-1 tablets, but they're different medicines. The Wegovy Pill is oral semaglutide and has to be taken on an empty stomach with a 30-minute wait before eating. Foundayo is orforglipron and has no food or water rules.
What can I take in the meantime?
PPRX currently supplies Mounjaro, Wegovy, the Wegovy Pill, Orlistat and Alli. A free online consultation will show which, if any, is suitable for you.
